Keys Introduction

YPXD, also known as Yuping Xiao and Dizi (flute), was first created in 1573. Recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, it served as a royal tribute during the Ming and Qing dynasties and is a representative brand in the Xiao and Dizi (flute) instrument industry. With over 400 years of vibrant history, YPXD has garnered international acclaim.

It won the silver medal at the International Crafts Exhibition in London in 1913 and the gold medal at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco in 1915, held to commemorate the opening of the Panama Canal.

In 2013, the Yuping Xiao and Dizi (flute) Museum, built on the 200-year-old Yinshan Academy, officially opened to the public.

1. The Xiao has several keys, such as A, G, F, E, and D. In terms of sound quality, the ranking is A > G > F > E > D, with G being the most commonly used and capable of playing the most songs, followed by F. The keys of A and D are not commonly used, and few songs are suitable for them. The lower the pitch of the Xiao, the larger the hole distance and inner diameter, and the taller the player needs to be to handle the instrument properly.

2. Xiao and bamboo flute musical instruments are made from natural bamboo. The material, color, and pipe diameter of each instrument vary. We guarantee consistent quality for the same model. The product pictures on the page are taken from one instrument and are for reference only. There may be differences in the inner diameter and appearance color between the received instrument and the sample picture. These differences are not quality issues, and we do not accept returns based on these variations. We hope for your understanding.

Refunds and Returns

1.When we deliver the product, we will carefully inspect the quality of the instrument. We will document the condition through video footage and physical photos to ensure there are typically no quality issues. You can purchase with confidence.

2.If you are not fully satisfied with the purchased product, you may request a replacement. You must contact us within 3 days of receiving the order. We will not be able to address any concerns reported more than 3 days after delivery and do not accept returns or refunds beyond that time frame. Any additional shipping costs for returns will be your responsibility, and the items must be returned in their original condition.

3. Xiao and bamboo flute musical instruments are made from natural bamboo. Each instrument may have unique variations in the material, color, and pipe diameter, as they are handcrafted. We guarantee consistency in quality for the same model. The product photos on the page are for reference only, and minor differences in the internal diameter and appearance color between the received item and the sample picture are not considered quality issues. We do not accept refunds due to these natural variations.
